How to share a calendar with your team

Published 2026-11-04

A calendar in Weektender is private until you decide otherwise. There are two separate ways to share it: invite specific people, or publish it for anyone with a link.

Invite people by email

On a Weektender-hosted calendar, open Share and invite people by email as viewers or editors. Viewers can read the calendar; editors can also add and change events. The owner keeps full control and can change roles or remove people at any time.

Invitations go to the email address you enter, and the person opens it by signing in, or creating an account, with that same email address.

Google-hosted calendars

If the calendar is hosted by Google, who can see it or edit it is managed in Google Calendar, not in Weektender. Only the owner can manage it here.

Publish for everyone else

Publishing is separate from inviting. Choose an unlisted link (anyone with the link can read it; search engines are asked not to index it), a public page (search engines may index it), a subscription feed, or a combination.

You can replace a page or feed link at any time. The old link stops working.

Questions

Can I let someone edit but not manage the calendar?

Yes. The edit role lets people change events on a Weektender-hosted calendar. Only the owner changes sharing and members.

Does publishing a Google calendar change its Google sharing?

No. Publishing on Weektender and sharing in Google are independent.
