How to import events from a web page into a calendar

Many club, school and venue sites list events on a page with no way to subscribe. A link import reads that page once and proposes events for you to check.
Paste the link
Start a new import, choose link, and paste the address of the page that lists the events. Weektender reads public pages; a page that needs a login cannot be read.
Review before anything is added
The events found appear as a draft. Edit details, skip what you do not want, and confirm the rest. Events that look like ones already on the destination calendar are flagged as possible duplicates.
Keeping up with changes
An import reads the page when you run it and does not keep watching it. When the page changes, run a new import and review what is new.
Questions
Why were no events found?
Some pages load their events with scripts that a simple page request does not see, or hold them in an image. Try a PDF import, or add the events by hand.
Does it add events automatically?
No. Nothing is added until you confirm it.
